Paul is back! Get hype!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:13:07
We goof about, talk about Trevor, tell some stories, and then get to questions!
Paul and I answer questions about:
Hey, friends! Adam's back, and he did an AWESOME cover!

Run Time: 1:20:44
It's good to be back recording together again. It feels like it's been a long time, even though it's only been a week away from each other.
After only a reasonable amount of goofs, we get right down to the brassiest of tacks. We start overviewing around 4 minutes in.
At the 40 minute mark, we get to your questions! We take questions on the topic at hand (or, rather, at fist), and we also some K.N.Y.F.E. questions, as well!
In the overview and question sections, we address some pretty heavy things. Unsurprisingly, writing a 70s comic about a black hero based on blaxploitation tropes would have been weighty in the 70s, and it's definitely still a rousing topic today. We want to make one thing clear here: black lives matter. If you feel like "all lives matter" is a fair statement, it's important to note that only when black lives matter will all lives matter. Nothing we say in this strange, performance art podcast where we tell real stories about fake comics should take anything away from that truth. We trust our listenership to understand that.
Finally, at about an hour and 17 minutes in, we talk a bit about the cover. But you've likely already seen it above in the show notes!
Oh, and Adam sent me a photo of his pan and spatula that he uses for making eggs. Here it is:
Don't mind the ghost hand in the lower left corner. Adam's house might be haunted, but at least those ghosts love his eggs!

Paul is here!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:15:10
We start off with some... non-technical difficulties. After that, some goofs, some introductions, and more goofs, we talk about voting for episodes in September.
Upcoming schedule:
Then, finally, around the 22 minute mark, we get to your questions. Featuring a brand new song from Trevor!!!
Our plan was to read a bunch of letters from listeners and then also take questions from the chat. Instead, we got through a few letters, and then the multitude of questions from the chat overwhelmed us and we gave up on letters for this week, just to get through all the chat questions. Which ended up being great!
Around the 55 minutes in, ThePayneTrayn asks a question in the chat about brewing beer, which is a topic Paul has a lot of experience and knowledge on. Paul describes an all-rye ale that he has brewed, which was met with demands for the recipe. Here is that recipe, from Paul himself!
Finally, we mentioned that next Publishers' Note will be a great time to ask Paul questions about his involvement in Spirit Island lore. If you have questions for Paul (or for Christopher and Adam), use our handy question submission form!
See you next time!
Good morning, heroes! Let's talk about Legacy's friends!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:30:44
Adam and I are here to talk about the character that you, dear listeners, demanded we bring up again. You can't say we never gave you anything! We're just here to act on the will of the people. Simple public servants, that's us.
We talk about some minor characters, but also some that have more impact than expected on Legacy's story. Which Legacy? Well, we get into that, too!
A bit after the 39 minute mark, we dig into your questions, which are many and excellent.
This Friday is the first recording of the first ever "Publishers' Note" of the Letters Page podcast, starring our very own Paul Bender! You'll be able to hear that episode in audio form next Tuesday, but if you're on the Letters Page Patreon, you can watch it happen live! And, if you're a Contributor to the Patreon, your questions will be a part of this new, experimental episode! What will happen? Who can say! Join us!
(Oh, also, extra props to Trevor for the new outro! What do you think of it?)
We did a Gen Con live! Sort of!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:47:42
Right off the bat, I engage in an entirely visual goof, which doesn't work terribly well as radio... Fortunately, you can watch the video here!
Trevor made some very special versions of the songs used in this song, including cool videos! Worth watching.
We goof around a standard amount, taking roughly 7 minutes of episode time to do so, and then we take questions of all sorts, ranging so far and wide as to be impossible to properly represent here. What sorts of things do we talk about? You'll have to listen to find out!
Friday of this week, Adam and I are recording the "Legacy Supporting Cast" episode that you all wanted so badly. Totally a thing you demanded and not a thing we made happen. *innocent whistling* ANYWAY, get your Legacy questions in, now!
Let's make some magical friends! (Spoiler: most of these people are not magical, and many of them are not friends, either.)
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:25:50
We goof around for a few minutes, and then get down to the business of making friends for a hard-to-be-friends-with hero!
At around 38 minutes in, we get to your questions, on a variety of topics.
This coming Friday is our recording of the Gen Con live recording! It'll be live on our YouTube channel, with the link posted on our Patreon. Please join us at 11 AM, Central Time!
Big announcements in this one!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:00:43
Upcoming schedule:
The recordings of each of those episodes will be on the Friday before that Tuesday. No calendar this time, but we trust in your ability to figure out what Fridays come before the above listed Tuesdays.
We talk about a bunch of things in this episode (besides our blatant campaigning during the most recent voting and the reveal of the upcoming Publishers' Notes with me and Paul!), including but not limited to:
Catch you next time!
Let's go to SPAAAAACE!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:17:13
We start off by some questionable poll campaigning. If you're on the Letters Page Patreon, let us try to convince you that the Legacy Supporting Cast episode needs more votes than all other episodes! Why? For reasons we'll reveal this Friday!
Then, at around 5 minutes in, we actually start in on the overview.
We do some storytelling, including digging into a limited series we've only ever talked about once before, back in the olden days.
We craft a story with a bunch of new names and events and bugs and a new metal? And a spaceship?! Lots going on here.
Finally, we get to your questions at around the 40 minute mark.
If you're on the Letters Page Patreon, join us this Friday for a live Editor's Note recording! We hope to see you then!
Let's get pet-riotic!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:33:13
We ramble a bit at the start about what we'll be doing in about a month for this year's very different Gen Con live episode, and then we talk about the nature of today's episode. Then, finally, only 6ish minutes in, we actually dive in. (And end up having a great time! Spoilers, I guess.)
You can tell we've been recording too long a little after the 1 hour mark, as we both unintentionally drop some swears. Trevor cleans up after us. Thank you/sorry, Trevor!
We finally break from making up pets stories at around the 1 hour and 5 minute mark and answer your questions.
Catch you next week for a K.N.Y.F.E. in space story! Get your questions in now!
Let's get super ultra kawaii!!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:46:06
So, we get into the meta-topic right off the bat, and Adam has to explain a bunch of stuff to me because I'm just not as familiar with the medium. Which, turns out to be fine, because I'm familiar enough with the tropes to make the story happen! But, I'm getting ahead of myself. For that, you'll have to listen to the overview, which starts just before 14 minutes into the episode. (But before that, we go on about some of our favorite anime movies and TV shows.)
The overview section is all over the place. We have to figure out where this story lands in Sentinel Comics history, what kind of story we're telling, who it's about, surprise ourselves with who the main characters are... it's a lot. But! We make it work, and are pleased with how it turns out.
At a bit before the 1 hour and 4 minute mark, we get to your questions! They are many, and not just about today's topic - we also talk about some aliens. Just because.
At 1 hour and 38ish minutes in, we talk a bit about the cover, which you can see above.
Next episode will be a Creative Process all about pets in Sentinel Comics! How's that going to go? Only time will tell!
