Our first ever live recorded Editor's Note! Here's the video!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:07:42
OK, first thing first: the video quality is AWFUL. But! We're working with Trevor to make it better in the future!
As we mention in the first few minutes, we didn't yet know the upcoming schedule when we recorded, but since then, the voting has concluded! Here is the final tabulation of all three polls combined:
So! Given those votes, here is the upcoming schedule for April!
Now, please submit questions for the Animated Series and NightMist's Monsters episodes, but we're recording the Disparation and Progeny episode today and tomorrow - as well as the GTG Origin Story Extrasode - as we're both traveling the first couple weeks in April.
Also! Extrasodes were going to be Patreon-exclusive content, but I polled the Patreon backers and they were pretty keen on them being for everyone, so that's happening! However, the videos of the Extrasodes and Editor's Notes will be made available to Patreon supporters as soon as they're created! And Contributors can even watch and interact live, just like they did for this very Editor's Note!
OK, back to the business of this Editor's Note.
Topics we cover today:
And more topics that came in live from our Contributors!
Looking forward to the new format starting with next episode! A hearty thank you to all of you fantastic listeners, and especially to our Patreon supporters!
One of the most terrible villains of the Multiverse is here! Tremble before Grand Warlord Voss, Earthlings!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 2:13:34
We get right into it by talking about the first appearances of Thorathians in the history of Sentinel Comics.
Then, we jump to the 60s to introduce Grand Warlord Voss himself!
After that, the next divergence is talking about space stuff - the space race, space exploration, and the wonders of space as a genre, so to speak.
Then, finally, we actually get to the origin and backstory ofRainek Kel'Voss! Which takes a while. About as much time as everything leading up to that. Reasonably!
Just after 35 minutes in, we get to the mid-80s, and stuff starts getting intense. Big stories. Big meta-information. Big reveals. Everything's big.
Whew! What a wild ride! OK, right, moving on. Almost halfway through the episode - a few minutes before the one hour mark - we get into your questions.
There are LOTS of great questions that make us dig into more of the story of Grand Warlord Voss and the Thorathian people. We answer almost all of your questions!
We get into Thorathian naming practices at around an hour and 43 minutes in! Fun stuff, there.
At 2:04:40, we do the quickest future section we've ever done!
Don't forget, today is the last day on our Patreon to get your votes in on the polls about topics for April! Let your voice be heard!
See you Thursday for an Editor's Note!
A team that is sometimes extreme, but is always awesome.

Our Patreon is running smoothly already, thanks to so many of you! As a result, this week, we'll be recording our upcoming Editor's Note LIVE for those of you at our Contributor level. Afterwards, the video will be posted for our supporters over on the Patreon.
Anyway! Prime Wardens!
We start off by digging into some of the specific dates of the history of Sentinel Comics - we use the historical landmarks of where these heroes came from as a framework for the bulk of this episode. This is by far our most historically accurate episode.
Starting just after the 12 minute mark, we zoom in on the story of the very first Prime Wardens story. We go on quite awhile just about this one big story. It's a very cool story, if I do say so myself.
Around 33 minutes in, we get into the Fall of the Prime Wardens story.
We talk about the re-formation of the team and the second volume of the Prime Wardens book around the 41 minute mark.
At 45 minutes in, we get to your questions, starting with questions about the entire team!
We get a little EXTREME around an hour and 9 minutes in.
Our future section today starts just after the one hour and 43 minute mark. There's a lot of interesting details in there, including a return of the SPOILERS! If you are avoiding spoilers for the story content of the SCRPG Starter Kit, you'll want to skip from 1:45:45 to 1:47:55.
Don't forget, at noon Central Time today, join Adam, Maggie, SaRae, Craig, and me on our Twitch channel for the hero character creation for our upcoming Sentinel Comics Live show! (And Paul will be there in the chat!) We're going to figure out how all this video stuff works!
See you next week for Grand Warlord Voss!
The long-awaited episode for one of the first heroes from Sentinel Comics!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 3:29:10
Our longest episode yet! It is astounding to me that an episode about one character ended up longer than our previous longest episode, the Southwest Sentinels/Void Guard episode, about 4 characters who make up two teams with major changes in there. But, then again, hardly surprising that Tempest takes so long to cover - really speaks to just how much is going on in the Tempest story.
We cover the three major phases of Tempest's life:
There are lots of things going on in each of those phases, but that's a fair way to break up the stories of Tempest. Be sure to tune in next week when we talk more about the whole team of the Prime Wardens, and the week after when we talk specifically about Tempest's primary nemesis: Grand Warlord Voss! There are a good bit of Tempest stories that we don't get too into in today's episode, as they belong in the Voss episode much more.
Just after the 52 minute mark, (that's right - we cover the entire overview in less than an hour!) we get into your questions! And there are a lot of them. You folks asked about all the things!
At around an hour and 16 minutes into the episode, we get asked a question that results in a deep dive into the biology of the Maerynian people. I know a lot of people have been wondering about this stuff for a LONG time.
An answer to a question just under two hours and 40 minutes in that gets us into a discussion of what we've done to make Sentinel Comics feel like "real" comics. Then, we go on to give a preview of the sort of thing we'll be doing in the OblivAeon episodes! At least, we go down a rabbit hole that is certainly the type of discussion that will be happening in the OblivAeon episodes.
Just after the two hour and 50 minute mark, we finally get to the character of Leviathan... who we give a quick overview for, but don't get into too thoroughly. Want more? Perhaps we'll do another episode later!
We finish your questions and go to the future section at just after three hours in. It's a quick one!
Ooh, and a big reveal at the end of the future section! I wonder what the implications of that will be...
Finally, the major announcements! They begin at 3:05:31. I'm not putting all that info here - I want you to hear it the way we present it in the episode, not just give you a wall of text. However! I will say, you should definitely check out the changes that are going live later today on our Patreon!
Thanks for bearing with us through this whole episode! See you next week for an almost certainly shorter episode about more characters!
One way or another, all of these environments house some great power... let's talk about them!
Show Notes:
Run Time: 1:42:54
We dig into the last of the environments - they only sort of go together in this episode, but they're all important parts of Sentinel Comics!
Lots of cool story bits for each of those places!
Next week is the long-awaited Tempest episode! Get your questions in using the submission form by end of day Thursday, March 8th!
Aaaand, finally: our Patreon is now live! Go check it out! We'll be adding Patreon exclusive behind-the-scene content all the time, including a livestream happening within a few hours of this episode going live!
